The faucet page says the target is 22 leading zero bits. That is about four million hashes on average. My laptop did it in under two minutes. A phone takes longer. Is that the intended pace, or does the difficulty move?

It moves one bit a day toward a target number of miners. It is on the faucet page. More miners, harder. Fewer, easier.
